Join us for our second annual ROOTSTOCK festival celebrating Cajun and Creole music, dance, cuisine and much more from Noon-8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014 at the Beaver Park baseball fields next to Vermilionville on Fisher Road in Lafayette! Advance tickets are just $15, and $12 for members of Friends of Louisiana Folk Roots!
Featuring in order of appearance:
Noon - 2 p.m.: Geno Delafose & French Rockin' Boogie
2:30 - 3:15 p.m.: LFR Kids Camp Spotlight with Yvette Landry
3:30 - 5:30 p.m.: Paul "Lil' Buck" Sinegal & The McComb-Veazey All-Stars
6 - 8 p.m.: Roddie Romero & The Hub City All-Stars with special guests Tommy McLain and Michael Doucet
We'll feature delicious cuisine from Taco Sisters, Mamma T's and Vermilionville; local craft beers from Bayou Teche Brewing as well as select wines; great activities for kids courtesy of The Little Paintbrush, homemade crafts, and a covered 1,000 sq. foot oak dancefloor!
ROOTSTOCK will benefit the year-round programming of Louisiana Folk Roots, which includes our annual Balfa Week and our Cajun & Creole Summer Camp for Kids, both of which take place at Lafayette’s Vermilionville Living History Museum and Folklife Park.
