Jam des Amis
Presented on the second Saturday of each month at the Acadiana Center for the Arts in downtown Lafayette, these informal, acoustic, open-to-the-public Cajun and Creole music jam sessions are held in conjunction with downtown Lafayette's ArtWalk and are hosted by various local musicians. Players of all levels are welcome, and folks who don't play an instrument are welcome to drop by and enjoy the music and good times.
Saturday, May 12, 2012 with host John Vidrine
6-8 p.m. at the Acadiana Center for the Arts in downtown Lafayette
Accordionist, fiddler and longtime LFR supporter John Vidrine will host. John's been playing traditional Louisiana Cajun music around the country and the world for more than three decades with a host of other outstanding musicians including his wife Jane Vidrine, so he'll have plenty of great tunes to share with you. Players of all levels are encouraged to participate, and those of you who don't play an instrument (or those of you who are looking for a nice, friendly place to get started) are always welcome!
