Each June we present our Cajun & Creole Summer Camp for Kids in Lafayette, Louisiana. This year's camp will take place at Lafayette's historic Vermilionville Living History Museum and Folklife Park.

For more information and to register your child, take a look at our 2013 Cajun & Creole Summer Camp for Kids brochure.

Grammy winner Mitch Reed of BeauSoleil avec Michael Doucet, Brazos Huval of Steve Riley & The Mamou Playboys, Kids' Camp founding director Henry Hample, Dave Trainer of The Nouveau String Band, and zydeco bandleader Corey "Lil' Pop" Ledet are just a few of the amazing Cajun and Creole multi-instrumentalists, educators and guest presenters we'll have on hand.

Our Kids' Camp is open to ages 8 to 14, and all you need to do is bring a guitar, a tuned-down fiddle or a 10-button diatonic accordion in the key of C, and we'll fill the days with fun, music, band labs, singing, dancing, cuisine and other great educational activities. We're even offering a lunch plan this year, and our week together will culminate with exciting performances by camper bands and a graduation ceremony complete with a camper-parent dance.

It all takes place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday, June 24-28, 2013, but space is limited. For more info, or to register by phone, please give us a call at (337) 234-8360. You can also send us an e-mail.
