back to Roots News
Registration for the 2008 Dewey Balfa Cajun and Creole Heritage Week at Chicot State Park is now officially open! The new registration forms and a handy information sheet are right here on our website. Go to the DBCCHW page for all the details. We'll have even more info on camp soon, but for now please know that Peter Schwarz will return as instructor coordinator and our full-time teaching staff will include: Tony Balfa, Sam Broussard, David Greely, Christine Balfa Powell, Dirk Powell and Steve Riley. Chef Patrick Mould will also return as culinary director and a member of our teaching staff. And of course the new cabins are still there! All camp reservations will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis, and we're happy to say we filled up every available slot, save for a few campsites, last year. We know many of you are veterans of camp and some of you have never experienced the week, and we're on hand to answer any questions. We know we will share an unforgettable experience! Please get in touch with us as soon as you can by calling us at (337)234-8360, by mailing or faxing your completed registration form to Louisiana Folk Roots, 101 W. Vermilion St., Lafayette, LA 70501, fax number (337)233-7062, or by emailing us at info@lafolkroots.org. We can accept your deposit with a credit card over the phone, or you can mail us a check drawn on a U.S. bank. You can also save $50 by registering by December 15, 2007. |
