In just under two weeks we’ll crank up our third annual School of Music workshops and we’re thrilled to announce that our 2009 sessions will feature the members of the world famous Pine Leaf Boys!
Every Tuesday in August the members of the band will present a variety of topics and these unique sessions will culminate in a “school-wide” jam session and "graduation ceremony!"
This year’s “school” will be a lot like our annual Dewey Balfa Cajun and Creole Heritage Week. You can attend any sessions you’d like and even move between simultaneous classes. Though many sessions are geared toward specific skill levels (see below), players of all levels and even non-players are welcome to attend.
Best of all, admission to all of these sessions is just $30 for members of Friends of Louisiana Folk Roots and $40 for the general public. But please note that part-time registration is not available.

These workshops are geared toward adults but open to learners of all agesand all levels. If you're not sure if this workshop or event would be appropriate for a student/participant of a certain age or with certain needs, please check with us ahead of time.
