Louisiana Folk Roots receives grant from Burlington Resources!
Burlington Resources holds a major land position in South Louisiana as owner of 660,000 mineral fee acres that offer long-term production and exploitation potential. Its 2005 Louisiana production averaged better than 149 mmcf/day. Burlington operates fields throughout South Louisiana and has employees in offices in several communities including Lafayette, Houma, and Redell. The Burlington Resources Foundation is the major channel of philanthropy for Burlington Resources, administering a consistent contributions program in recognition of the company's intent to support and improve the general welfare and quality of life in the communities it serves through a combination of direct contributions to help those in need, and by encouraging its employees to donate their own time and resources to further its efforts. |
