The Roots Heritage Festival
co-hosted with The Louisiana Office of State Parks

April 22, 2006 at Chicot State Park, Ville Platte, Louisiana

This one day festival is the opening of The Dewey Balfa Cajun and Creole Heritage Week. It offers workshops, a crafts area, a children's area, musician hosted Cajun & Creole jams, and music by top Creole, Zydeco and Cajun bands. It begins at 11:00am and ends at 11:00pm.

Cost is $5.00, free for children 12 and under, free for members of Louisiana Folk Roots.
