FULL-TIME PROGRAM INFORMATION

April 21 - 27, 2006 at Chicot State Park, Ville Platte, Louisiana

PLEASE NOTE:   The following information applies only to those participants who are registered for the ENTIRE WEEK.

Lodging and meals for full-time participants will be through Friday morning, April 28. Then everyone can hop on over to Lafayette’s world-renowned Festival International de Louisiane! Make sure to check out the Folk Roots workshops and jam session presented at the festival.

When checking in at camp, each full-time participant will receive a program book with all the following information as well as the program schedule and other information.

Opening day - Friday, April 21
2:30pm - Participant Check-in
4:30pm - Orientation
5:30pm - Gumbo!
7:30pm - Evening dance with Balfa Toujours
10:30pm - Late night jam

Roots Heritage Festival - Saturday, April 22
11:00am to 11:00pm   Dances, workshops, jams, crafts!
8:00-9:00   breakfast
12:00-1:30   lunch
6:00-7:00   dinner

Daily Schedule Sunday, April 23 to Thursday, April 27
8:00-9:00   breakfast
9:00-10:15   intensive classes
10:30-11:45   2nd session
12:00-1:30   lunch
1:30-2:30   afternoon break
2:30-2:45   rendezvous
2:45-3:45   master presentations
4:00-5:15   afternoon classes
5:30-6:30   evening classes
5:30-7:30   dinner
7:30-10:30   dance
10:30 until!   late nite jams

Closing day - Friday, April 28
8:00am - Continental breakfast and final goodbye's.
Checkout time for those of you staying in cabins and dormitories is 11:00am. For those of you staying in campsites, checkout time is 1:00pm.
