LOCATION

Each event is held at either of the following state parks in Louisiana:

Lake Fausse Pointe State Park is in an idyllic setting alongside the Atchafalaya Basin near St. Martinville. Participants are housed in waterfront cabins, each of which has a screen porch, a full kitchen, and a fireplace. There are also many sites available for camping in tents or trailers, complete with water and electricity. A primitive group campsite is also available. The park is noted for its wildlife and the natural beauty of its swamps and bayous. It provides a perfect setting in which to experience the true power of Louisiana’s natural environment.

Chicot State Park has Lake Chicot within its boundaries and is located near Ville Platte. The site has an Equestrian Trail and is also next door to the 300-acre Louisiana State Arboretum, an area devoted to a living, natural exhibition of over 150 species of plant life native to Louisiana. Participants are housed in either dormitories or cabins with a full kitchen. There are also many sites available for camping in tents or trailers, complete with water and electricity. Primitive campsites located on the extensive hiking/backpacking trail which surrounds the Lake, are also available.
